  • Description

Grade Level: Grade 9
Duration: 7 Weeks
Focus: Understanding relationships between variables

Module 3: Linear Functions & Graphing develops students’ understanding of how mathematical relationships between variables can be represented, analyzed, and modeled. Students explore functions as rules that connect inputs and outputs while learning to interpret tables, graphs, equations, and real-world situations.

Throughout the module, students investigate function notation, domain and range, slope, rate of change, and slope-intercept form. Students learn how linear equations represent constant relationships and how graphs provide visual models of mathematical patterns.

By the end of this module, students will be able to identify functions, calculate and interpret slope, graph linear equations, write linear models, and use functions to represent real-world relationships.
