Focus: Understanding circular relationships and measurement
Module 4: Circles & Geometric Measurement develops students’ understanding of circular relationships, measurements, and geometric properties. Students explore the unique characteristics of circles and learn how formulas and theorems can be used to analyze and solve problems involving circular figures.
Throughout the module, students investigate parts of circles, including radii, diameters, chords, arcs, and tangents. Students apply formulas for circumference, area, and arc length while exploring relationships between central angles, inscribed angles, and circle theorems.
By the end of this module, students will be able to calculate circle measurements, analyze circle relationships, apply geometric formulas, and solve real-world problems involving circular designs and measurements.
