Module 2: Multiplication & Division develops Grade 4 students’ ability to solve multiplication and division problems using efficient computation strategies. Students expand their understanding of multiplication by exploring patterns, multiplying larger numbers, and selecting appropriate strategies to solve complex problems.

Throughout the module, students strengthen their division skills by learning how to divide larger numbers, interpret remainders, and connect division solutions to real-world situations. Students use models, equations, estimation, and reasoning to solve problems and explain their mathematical thinking.

By the end of this module, students will confidently apply multiplication and division strategies to solve real-world and multi-step problems while building the foundation for fractions, decimals, and algebraic reasoning.
