Focus: Understanding shapes and measurement
Module 4: Geometry & Measurement Applications helps Grade 2 students develop a deeper understanding of geometry, measurement, and money by applying mathematical concepts to everyday situations. Students will explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes, investigate their attributes, and discover how shapes can be combined to create new figures.
Learners will strengthen their measurement skills by using standard measurement tools to measure and compare lengths accurately. They will also develop practical financial literacy by recognizing coins and bills, counting money, and solving simple money problems.
Throughout the module, students will apply geometry, measurement, and money concepts through hands-on investigations and real-world problem-solving activities that build mathematical confidence and reasoning.
