Mathematical Modeling & Applications develops students’ ability to use mathematics as a tool for analyzing and solving complex real-world problems. Students apply concepts from algebra, geometry, functions, trigonometry, statistics, and finance to create models that represent real situations and support decision-making.
Throughout the module, students explore the mathematical modeling process, analyze different types of models, and evaluate solutions within real-world contexts. Students investigate optimization, personal finance, career-based mathematics, and interdisciplinary applications while strengthening their ability to communicate mathematical reasoning.
Grade Level: Grade 12
Duration: 7 Weeks
Focus:
Applying advanced mathematics to real-world challenges through modeling, problem solving, and mathematical communication. Students build, analyze, and interpret models while connecting mathematics to careers, technology, science, and everyday decision-making.
