G1-MATH-M4 - Geometry, Measurement and Time

Module 4: Geometry, Measurement & Time helps Grade 1 students understand how mathematics describes the world around them. In this module, students explore shapes, measurement, time, and money through practical examples and everyday situations.

Students will identify and describe two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes, explore shape attributes, and learn how shapes can be combined to create new designs. Learners will also develop measurement skills by comparing and measuring objects using appropriate tools and units.

Students will build an understanding of time by reading clocks to the hour and half hour and develop early financial literacy by recognizing and using money in real-world situations.

Through hands-on activities and problem-solving experiences, students will strengthen their ability to observe, describe, measure, and apply mathematical concepts in daily life.
