Linear Functions, Systems & Mathematical Models develops students’ ability to analyze relationships between variables and use linear equations to represent real-world situations. Students explore linear functions through graphical, numerical, and algebraic representations while strengthening their understanding of slope, rate of change, and systems of equations.
Throughout the module, students investigate different forms of linear equations, solve systems using multiple strategies, and create mathematical models to represent real-world scenarios. Emphasis is placed on interpreting solutions, evaluating models, and communicating mathematical reasoning.
Course Level: College Algebra
Duration: 4 Weeks
Focus:
Modeling relationships using linear equations and systems. Students analyze linear patterns, interpret rates of change, solve systems, and apply mathematical models to real-world problems.
