Grade Level: Grade 10
Duration: 6 Weeks
Focus:
Modeling real-world relationships using linear equations and systems. Students develop skills in analyzing slope, graphing linear relationships, writing equations, comparing models, and solving systems of equations.
Linear Models & Systems develops students’ understanding of linear relationships and how algebra can be used to represent and solve real-world situations. Students explore rate of change, slope, linear equations, graphing, and systems of equations while connecting multiple representations of mathematical relationships.
Throughout the module, students analyze patterns, write and graph linear equations, compare models, and solve systems using graphical methods. Students learn how linear models are used to represent situations involving change, prediction, and decision-making.
