Grade Level: Grade 7
Duration: 6 Weeks
Focus: Applying geometry concepts
Module 4: Geometry, Scale Drawings & Measurement helps students apply geometric concepts to solve real-world problems involving shapes, measurement, and proportional reasoning. Students explore how scale drawings represent actual objects, investigate similar figures, analyze angle relationships, and use geometric formulas to solve practical problems.
Throughout the module, students develop skills in working with scale factors, determining angle measures, finding the area of two-dimensional figures, calculating the circumference of circles, and determining the volume of three-dimensional figures. Students strengthen their spatial reasoning while learning how geometry is used in fields such as architecture, engineering, construction, design, and mapping.
By the end of this module, students will confidently apply geometric concepts, formulas, and measurement strategies to solve mathematical and real-world problems.
